About Us
The Nanty Pharmacy Team
We are a double award-winning independent community pharmacy local to Maesteg - our friendly team is made up of our two Pharmacy Assistants Natalie and Leigh; Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician Susan; Delivery Driver Andrew; and our prescribing pharmacist Anna, who has been recognised on the Pharmaceutical Journal's list of Women To Watch 2024, and the Chemist+Druggist "The Pills" Awards 2025 highlighting outstanding young individuals aged 35 and under in the pharmacy industry.
We opened on 25th September 2023, and we are delighted to serve the communities of Nantyffyllon and wider Maesteg with health advice and medication needs. We are proud to participate in the Greener Primary Care Wales Framework and Award Scheme, achieving a Gold Award in 2025.
Services we offer
We offer a range of services at our pharmacy, including the Common Ailments Scheme and Pharmacist Independent Prescribing Services, where you can get advice and treatment for minor conditions free of charge. We also offer free prescription collection and electronic prescribing services from Woodlands, Llynfi, and Bron-Y-Garn Surgeries, and Cymmer Health Centre; home delivery; NHS flu vaccinations to those eligible; Stop Smoking Services; Contraception Services; Needle Exchange; Emergency Medicines Supply; STI Test Kit Provision; and Private Services including Period Delay; Private Flu Vaccination and Weight Management.
